  • Dr. Hart is ahead of his time. I agree with a lot of this points he made. But I don’t think the country as a whole is as advanced and evolved as Dr. Hart is on drug use.

  • Finally two great minds having a educated discussion. I think Dr. Hart is ahead of his time and I loved this interview. I hated how they did him on the Breakfast Club.

  • Drugs are largely banned because of the alcohol industry. They’ve been behind blocking cannabis for decades because it’s free!! They’ve had the market on drugs aka alcohol. This was before Blacks were stigmatized. We see the same thing with public transit across the country. The auto industry has fought it, closed it down 60-80 years ago in some places to sell cars. Like with racism; follow the money. It’s always about keeping 💴 in the hands of the few. And yes, like Trevor we’ve all been brainwashed to believe it’s bad. And yes!! It’s not drugs that are harming urban or rural communities, it’s how the plutocracy manages our funds! Great show!

  • I wouldn't say that he's a bad person but what I would say is that what he's saying is very dangerous is not okay to push this narrative that drug use isn't like how we seen it I have seen it with my own eyes it's just not TV and movies I've seen it with my eyes that drugs..hard heavy drugs ruin lives.. and sometimes marijuana can lead you down a path of not wanting to leave your bed because all you want to do is be high let's look at it for what it is I keep it very very real

  • Didn't the british surgeon general get fired for saying this in the 90's? Something along the line of it's safer to use xtc and MJ than alcohol.

  • He deflected, Trevor noah asked if a person could be addicted and he made a case instead for people being happy doing what they want with their body. Point blank period nothing should be in your body that is unnatural or MAS (Mind Altering Substance). Even if the drug is considered safe the possibility of drug abuse is not. Also side effects of some drugs cannot be countered like tooth loss and I kept noticing from the beginning he barely showed his top teeth if at all as though they might fall out like dentures though it's just my suspicion.

I'm not the sort of person who believes in conspiracy theories about assassination but he said it himself, there are a lot of people who benefit from this. so if they aren't gonna try to physically harm or threaten him he still could loose his job or other things. we should keep an eye on him.

  • Also, legalizing and controlling the quality of the drugs will help to get rid of black markets and violence in many countries, put big taxes on them and with those taxes help communities. The root cause of addiction isn’t the drug itself, it is loneliness, our materialistic and individualistic society, unhappiness, lack of purpose, mental health, etc. We should focus on the root of the cause. As a Mexican I think it will help to remove a lot of violence in my country as a result of the cartels.

  • I mean they tell us to say no to drugs and then make prescription drugs super addictive to raise profits. We have over-criminalized marijuana but now a bunch of the same critics is investing in cannabis. We shouldn't treat addiction as a crime, to begin with, or put people in jail for their drug use. How does that even make sense or address the root of the "problem?" I definitely think addiction is a real thing and it's an expensive habit as well, but recreational drug use especially amongst the white-collar and 1% critics is more common than we think.

  • Dr. Hart stated that 80% of drug users are not addicted. I doubt is this is verifiable (most drunks do NOT think they have a drinking problem), but even if it is true, should we recommend playing Russian Roulette with our lives? It is also important to ask over what population was this 80% measured. Are populations that are stressed, (e.g. poor, African-American, etc.) more likely to become addicted? I have seen too many lives destroyed by drugs and too many lives destroyed because of drugs to find his statements acceptable. Drugs have decimated too many of our communities! They do not need a black advocate.
